Prenatal classes can go by many other names like Prenatal Birthing Classes, Lamaze classes, or Prenatal Education. They’re all essentially the same in their goal – teach parents about the process of birth. What you need is the information so that you can make the choices and decisions that are best for you and your baby.

Our classes are participation-oriented, which helps parents understand the knowledge in the context of their unique lives. As well, parents are taught to build a pain-coping mindset to integrate into daily life, rather than “dust-off” for labour. Hospital based pain medication options are also covered so that parents have knowledge of all their options before the birth.

What sets Birth Roots prenatal classes apart is that we work to keep them current and interesting. With information that is evidence based and up to date with the practices of our Manitoba doctors and midwives.  We don’t want you to fall asleep either so we make our classes are fun, engaging, and entertaining. You will find we offer many different class options, including Weeknight Series, Weekend Series, Condensed Series, and private prenatal classes.
